Second Cook
Position Summary
Diamond Arrow Christian Conference Center is seeking a Second Cook to join our summer food service team. This seasonal position works closely with the Head Cook to prepare, serve, and clean up meals for campers and staff throughout the summer season.
The Second Cook helps lead at least one meal service each day and supervises a team of young adult kitchen assistants. This is a hands-on role that combines food service, leadership, teamwork, and ministry in a Christ-centered camp environment.
What to Expect
Summer at Diamond Arrow is fast-paced, relational, and deeply rewarding. Days can be long and physically active, but you’ll be part of a close-knit team serving campers through hospitality and excellent meals. You’ll live on-site in dorm-style housing, build meaningful friendships, and play an important role in helping create life-changing camp experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals for guests and staff
Lead young adult staff in kitchen prep, meal service, and cleanup
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining hall
Work closely with the Head Cook to ensure meals are served with excellence
Create a welcoming and servant-hearted atmosphere for campers and guests
Dates & Pay
Approx. June 1 – August 2 (exact dates may vary slightly)
$600 per week
Dorm-style housing is provided, and meals are included when provided for campers.
